Upgrade 10.1'' IPS Cube U30GT Android Tablet to Google Android 4.1 Jelly Bean system

As many Android Tablets still unable to upgrade to the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (JB) system, Cube U30GT now becomes on of the 1st 10 inch tablet to be able to run Android 4.1 JB OS.

If you have a Cube U30GT 10'' Tablet with you and want to upgrade to Android 4.1, the following are the steps:

1.Download the latest firmware and extract (Note:before you download,please check the serial number on your tablet)
For serial number begins with "U30GTW": LINK
For serial number begins with "U30GTH": LINK

2.Download the Rockchip batch tool and extract: LINK;

3.Run the RKBatchTool_1.5.exe in the extracted Flashtool folder and select the image you downloaded in step 1;

4.Shut down your tablet (if frozen,long press the power button will force shut down);

5.Plug the USB cable into your tablet;

6.Now pressing volume + and the power buttons together connect the other end of the USB cable to your PC (Tip: you can press the volume + first,then power,so can make sure do not turn on the tablet.If the tablet is on,please do the step again);

7.Once Windows notices a new device release the 2 buttons;

8.When asked for drivers browse to the "drivers" folder within the extracted batch tool folder and select it allowing windows to install the driver. If you aren't asked for drivers and you get a device install failure go to Device Manager and look for Unknown Device. Right click on this and select update drivers. Browse to the folder within the RKBatchTool folder with the drivers for your OS (Win 7 64 bit in my case) and select this folder.

9.If all ok the "device 1 connected" square within the RKBatchTool_1.5 will change from grey to green;

10.Press the "Restore" button in RKBatchTool_1.5;

11.The green square should change to orange showing that the flash operation is happening;

12.If all ok you should get a success message at the end (takes about 3 minutes).

13.The tablet should reboot but if it does not then press the power button.

14.The first boot after an upgrade takes much longer than a normal boot. Just be patient and wait for the lockscreen.

15.The default language will be Chinese. When you get a prompt hit the home button and then go to settings and look for the menu option with a letter A in a white box (this is language). Select this and then the top option on the right hand side of the screen. This will give you a list of languages. Select English or whatever and then restart the tablet.

Note:If there is any error happened,please do the steps again.And if restart,the tablet show damaged storage,then click it and format it.
