VIA released cheap ARM CPU again - WM8980 chip

Recently ASUS released a cheap Android tablet ME172V, which has attracted some attention. To control and decrease the cost, this tablet only comes with a single-core A9 CPU, which is VIA WM8950. In order to compete with those ARM chip manufacturers, such as Allwinner, Amlogic, VIA released a new dual-core A9 CPU -- PRIZM WM8980. This CPU uses two core Cortex-A9 and the processor speed is 1.2GHz. And it also built-in with dual-core Mali-400 GPU. It can support H.264 etc 1080P full HD videos. The output supports HDMI, DVI, LVDS, DVO and the highest definition videos are 1920*1080 pixel. While, about the operating system, it can support Android 4.1/4.2 jelly bean.
In the near future, we should be able to see those cheap Android tablets use the WM8980 cpu!
